Levels of Performance Indicators *
* The levels of performance serve as a reference and are written at the component, rather than the element, level of our rubric. While providing less detail, the component level descriptors capture all the essential information from those at the element level. These critical attributes, listed in the documents, provide guidance in distinguishing between practice at adjacent levels of performance. Possible examples for each level of performance serve to illustrate the meanings of the rubric language. However, they should be regarded for what they are: possible examples. They are not intended to describe all the possible ways in which a certain level of performance might be demonstrated in the classroom; those are, of necessity, particular to each grade and subject. The possible examples simply serve to illustrate what practice can look like in a range of settings.

Applications for certificated, secretarial, assistant behavior specialist, supervisory, and teacher assistant positions must be completed online. A list of currently available positions and application procedures may be found HERE.

Effective September 1, 2011, The New Jersey First Act implemented May 17, 2011, requires all employees of a school district to reside in the state of New Jersey.
Employees of the Morris School District hired after the effective date who do not reside in the State of New Jersey at the time of hire have one year from the effective date of employment to relocate their primary residence to New Jersey.
Employees of the school district hired prior to the September 1, 2011 effective date of this Act are grandfathered and are not required to relocate to New Jersey.

Please be advised that our substitute list is currently open. If you are trying to obtain a substitute certificate, you must have at least 60 college credits and reside in Morristown or Morris Township. Please email Keshia Rivers at firstname.lastname@example.org as applications will not be accepted without an appointment.
All candidates who reside outside of this area must be processed by their respective District.
