Residency Verification
The following is a list of items required in order to prove residency within the Morris School District.
You may submit your information:
- Via the PowerSchool Parent Portal
- In person: drop off at the MSD Board Office located at 31 Hazel Street, Morristown, NJ, Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 3:30 pm.
PART A: Proof of ownership or rent: (1 Item)
Please supply any of the following documents:
- Copy of deed
- Mortgage statement
- Property taxes
- Full copy of current lease agreement (does not expire in the next 30 days)
If you rent from the owner or leaseholder and do NOT have a lease agreement, you will need to:
- Submit the original NOTARIZED resident/tenant affidavit in person to 31 Hazel Street, Morristown, NJ.
- Provide a copy of the current lease from the leaseholder.
PART B: Proof of Address: (3 Items)
Each item must show your name, address, and date; the date must be within 30 days of today's date.
- Copies of 3 recent bills (e.g., gas, electric, water, internet, cable, health/car insurance, pay stub, state/federal mail, credit card
- Provide the full name(s) and current grade(s) of your student(s):
