The Morris School District Community School has been providing lifelong learning opportunities to the greater Morristown area for more than 50 years.
We offer programs for children including the Sunrise and Sunset child care programs, Summer Plus, Summer Music Academy, and more.
The Community School provides exceptional learning opportunities for adults that range from the Great Horizons Lecture Series to language, computer and technology, career and personal development, and creative classes.

REGISTRATION FOR ALL PROGRAMS.
Sunrise/Sunset Before & After School Care
REGISTRATION for the 2024-2025 school year Sunset Program is currently closed.
The Program begins September 3, 2024.
Registration will reopen on Monday, September 9th.
Registration will remain closed for Alfred Vail and Normandy Park.
We have reached our student capacity at both sites. We will work to increase our staffing and will alert those families on the waitlist if spots become available. Thank you for your patience.

YOUTH PROGRAMS (Sunrise & Sunset)
Sunrise - Sunset Before & After School Care
The SUNRISE & SUNSET PROGRAM is available to all Morris School District K - 5 grade students.
The SUNSET PROGRAM is available to Morris School District Pre-K students. (NO SUNRISE)
REGISTRATION for September will begin July 8th & closes August 23, 2024
NOTE: If you are unable to register during the registration period that program may be at capacity, please call (973) 292-2063 for further assistance.
SUNRISE PROGRAM
NOTE: Sunrise will be held at three schools only:
Normady Park & Thomas Jefferson will go to Woodland.
Sussex Avenue will go to Alfred Vail.
Alexander Hamilton will go to Hillcrest School.
ALL Programs open at 7:00 AM.
Light breakfast will be provided.
Students who do not attend Sunrise in their home schools will be bused from Sunrise in time for the start of their school day.
NOTE: Latest drop-off at Sunrise is 8:20 AM to allow time for dismissal and busing.
NOTE: If you arrive later than 8:20 you will be required to bring your child to their home school for drop-off.
SUNSET PROGRAM
NOTE: Sunset programs are held at EACH elementary school your child attends. The program closes at 6:00 PM.
Students are dismissed directly to Sunset on their rostered days at dismissal.
You can pick up any time after dismissal until 6:00 PM.
NOTE: There is a late fee of $15.00 per 15 minute increment, per child, for pick-up after 6 PM.
