K-5 Social Studies
The elementary social
studies program conforms to the New Jersey Core Curriculum

from self to larger world that situates students within
ever widening contexts.
- Kindergarten students study the self, family, home and school.
- Students
in grade one study the neighborhood and municipal
community.
- In second grade, students pursue an in-depth study
of Morristown and Morris County.
- Third grade students
study New Jersey and explore its surrounding
states.
- In fourth grade, students survey the geographic
regions of the United States.
- Social studies
in grade five offers a survey of the principal
periods of United States history.
