The Board of Education recognizes the need to provide a variety of instructional programs and activities for students to accommodate individual ability, experience, and learning style. The board encourages the administration and teaching staff to investigate different and innovative programs that have the potential to meet the educational needs of students, improve district curriculum, and/or reduce operational costs.
The Superintendent or his/her designee shall evaluate proposed pilot programs designed by district staff or outside agencies for educational benefit, cost, and feasibility. Proposals for implementation shall include an implementation plan and evaluation timeline. All experimental or pilot programs shall be approved by the Board of Education prior to implementation.
