The Board of Education believes that the organizational plan of its schools should:
- Meet the developmental education needs of its pupils;
- Utilize staff and facilities effectively; and
- Utilize financial and other resources efficiently.
The Superintendent or his/her designee is directed to keep the board informed about:
- current enrollment, by school and district;
- enrollment composition, by school and district;
- number of elementary class sections, by school and district;
- average class size for elementary class sections;
- number of self-contained special education classes, by school and district;
- enrollment projections by school and district;
- unanticipated changes in enrollment (by course, program, school, or district);
Class size for specific classes for the High School and Middle School shall be available to a Board of Education member, if requested. The Superintendent or his/her designee shall recommend changes in attendance areas, grade level organization, program, staff, and facility utilization to the Board of Education for approval.
