SCHOOL DAY
The Board of Education shall annually establish the length of the school day and times of the day in which schools are regularly in session. The Superintendent or his/her designee shall, in consultation with teacher and administration associations and representatives of sending school districts and, in compliance with New Jersey Statute and Administrative Code, develop an instructional schedule which incorporates:
In emergencies, the Superintendent or his/her designee may alter the regular session whenever he/she deems it necessary and desirable, consistent with the policies of the district. Building principals shall not dismiss school any part of the school day without the approval of the Superintendent or his/her designee. The Board of Education shall receive a copy of each school's schedule/calendar by the end of September.
