The Board of Education accepts its responsibility to provide schools which promote an environment for
positive pupil development and achievement that enhances learning and leads to success.
The board agrees with the expectations for pupil behavior promulgated by the state Board of Education, and
directs the superintendent to coordinate development of a code of conduct which addresses them.
Because self-discipline must be learned, our schools shall instruct pupils in appropriate behavior, and provide
special assistance to those who require individual instruction in this area.
