All noncertified employees shall be considered as probationary employees for the period
provided by their contract. Probationary employees may be disciplined or terminated at any time
during their probationary period at the sole discretion of the Board of Education without recourse
to grievance procedures, including those established through negotiated agreement.
At its discretion, the Board of Education may extend an employee’s probationary period. In such
instances, the department head shall so notify the employee and any negotiating unit which
covers the position.
