Employment of Summer/Temporary Personnel

It is also the desire of the Morris School District Board of Education to avoid both the reality and the appearance of conflict of interest in employment of Summer/Temporary personnel. Refer to Policy 4112.8, Nepotism for hiring and approval requirements. Upon proper advertising of open positions and the development of a pool of qualified candidates for open positions, appointments shall be made considering the following priorities:
  • Morristown/Morris Township/Morris Plains resident (student positions only). Prior successful summer/temporary employment by the Morris School District.

  • In the event that more than one qualified candidate exists for one position, a lottery conducted by the Director of Human Resources shall determine the appointee.
