In order to attract, motivate, reward and retain top quality administrative and management
personnel in the Morris School District, the Board adopts the following policy:
Recruitment, Selection and Hiring
The Superintendent and his/her designee shall establish a comprehensive recruiting plan so that
the best qualified personnel will be selected for appointment. Recommendation for appointment
shall be based solely on qualification, without reference to race, sex, religions, handicap
unrelated to the job, age, ethnic background or other conditions not related to the duties and
responsibilities of the job. Compensation will be based on experience.
Establishing Positions
The Board will establish appropriate administrative and supervisory positions in sufficient
numbers to meet the needs of the educational program of the district and to provide necessary
support services. As the educational needs of the pupils of the district change, the Board will
review and, if necessary, revise the number and duties of these administrative/supervisory
positions. The Board will comply with relevant law in establishing positions with titles not yet
recognized in the administrative code.

the personnel office:
- Compensation
- Benefits (Sick leave, Maternity/Child-rearing leave, Vacation, Other leave; Health
Insurance, Professional Development, Mileage)
For certified staff not covered by the above-mentioned agreement and for the Superintendent,
Assistant Superintendent, Director of Human Resources and Board Secretary/Business
Administrator, special and confidential staff, see their individual contracts.

Procedures
The Superintendent shall devise detailed procedures and forms to implement this policy.
