To become a substitute teacher for the Morris School District,
candidates must posses
either a valid New Jersey Teaching
Certificate or a valid
Substitute Certificate. If you do
not possess a valid Substitute
Certificate, the Morris School District will process application
for candidates who reside in Morris Township, Morristown
and Morris Plains and who have
at least 60 college credits. All candidates who reside outside this
area must be processed
by their respective District.

$125.00 personal check or money order payable to “The
Commissioner of Education” if you do not have a valid
NJ Teaching Certificate or your Substitute Certificate.

$7.00 certified check or money order payable to "The State of New Jersey" for processing of the authorization and certification for criminal history review.

$70.25 fee to Sagem-Morpho for processing of live scan fingerprinting
(you will pay this fee by credit card or money order when you make the appointment for fingerprinting).
Forms will be provided at time of processing.

$32.30 certified check or money order payable to "The State
of New Jersey" if your fingerprints were processed by another
public school after December 2003.

in their archives to reprocess your information.
